I have been making wooden bows since
the late 1970’s and was fortunate to
have met the late Richard Galloway
before that. I, like many others
learnt so much from Richard and to
have watched him work on bows was an
education in itself.
We now live in France and have done
so since 2001, making bows from
competition to field archery for
people all over the world.
The service offered is a friendly
one and our attitude has made us one
of the leading suppliers of wooden
bows to private customers and shops
alike.
The last 10 years been heavily
involved in supplying bows to the
re-enactment fraternity in England
and Europe, and being involved in
historical research with
institutions for medieval bows such
as the National Army Museum in
Chelsea, London.
One of our aims is to make the
purchase of a bow affordable and not
overly priced. We would also like
to bring to the attention of people
that there is not just one design in
wooden bows as you will see from our
web site.
Because we are involved in history
and the research of it, we try to
use only timbers which were
available during the middle ages and
before, thus we use only European
timbers, obviously if we are talking
of the 16th century and
onwards then we consider timber from
the America’s.
